Thank you for taking the time to check out my website, and considering me as your therapist! My goal is to try to answer questions you may have about starting therapy services with me, and to help you get to know me. Finding the right therapist can be hard, so I want to help as much as possible.
I am a fully licensed mental health therapist in both Nebraska and Iowa. I have been a therapist since 2016. I have primarily worked with adults with chronic homeless histories. My clients have had an array of different mental health concerns, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, mood swings, relationship struggles, and more. Prior to my work as a therapist, I was a case manager and intake coordinator for a crisis response program. We specialized in addressing mental health concerns to stabilize the crisis and prevent future police interaction for mental health reasons. I learned a lot about available community resources in that role. I also have a history of working as a CNA at a nursing home, primarily with clients with Alzheimer’s disease.
I have been married for almost 9 years and have one sweet little girl (that also has an ornery side). I am very close with my family and value the fact that I live close to them. I enjoy being outdoors (when it’s nice out), going for hikes, and just being in nature. I also enjoy doing crafts, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
Some of my favorite coping skills include lighting candles, listening to guided imagery, listening to music, coloring, watching a funny movie or TV show, trying a new recipe, cleaning, and doing something nice for others.
